Her career began as a performer after moving to Minneapolis and came across Prince who was the producer of her debut studio album, self-titled which was released in 1993. Electra began glamour modeling in 1996, and was featured in Playboy magazine. She later moved to Los Angeles where she made her acting debut as Lani McKenzie on the MTV drama show Baywatch (1997-1998). In 2004 she was in the reality show 'Til Death' Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave together with her husband Dave Navarro, and voiced Six in the animated show Tripping the Rift. Electra gained recognition later for her work in parody movies, including Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 4 (2006), Date Movie (2006), Epic Movie (2007), Meet the Spartans (2008) and Disaster Movie (2008). Get Over It (2001) and Disaster Movie (2008) are among her other credits in films.
